As a Software Engineer in GMST, you will be designing solutions that are scalable and can be delivered incrementally to enhance business value, building essential features and functionalities of card transaction systems on our distributed platform deployed in the cloud. You will actively engage in agile teams and the latest development methodologies, writing code and unit tests, collaborating with API specifications and automation. You will provide technical guidance to fellow engineers to foster their development within the team. GMST Engineers utilize Java Technologies to drive innovation while also exploring opportunities to integrate new technologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in application architecture/design, software development, and testing, preferably in an Agile environment.
  • At least 10 years of proven experience with Java, React, Vert.x, Spring, Spark, Postgres, Ignite, Restful APIs, Redis, and Kafka.
  • Strong understanding of design patterns.
  • Excellent engineering and professional leadership abilities.
  • Proven capability to lead, collaborate, and partner across multiple engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical expertise in application design, software development, and automated testing.
  • Experience in RESTful API development.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment tools (Jenkins, Maven, XLR, Mockito, SOAPUI, JMeter).
  • Proficiency in object-oriented analysis and design across various platforms.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners regarding architecture and solution design.
  • Collaborates with leadership across multiple teams to define solution requirements and technical implementation in Engineering & Architecture.
  • Demonstrates technical expertise to assist team members in overcoming technical challenges.
  • Resolves technical issues beyond day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Contributes to the success of various teams in achieving their objectives.
