Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at SA Health. As an Occupational Therapist, you will contribute to the delivery of comprehensive and integrated health services to the local community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide a range of health services, including preventative, early intervention, treatment, and evaluation approaches in occupational therapy.
  • Provide clinical and consultative OT services across various service settings and episode types, including My Aged Care, community outpatients, and inpatient settings.
  • Conduct home safety assessments, short-term outpatient interventions, and equipment prescription and home modification recommendations.
  • Apply primary health care and community participation principles to ensure occupational therapy services are responsive to changing community needs and improve health outcomes.
Requirements
  • Hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification that entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Be capable of supporting consumers across the patient journey, providing effective assessment and triage, timely referrals, accurate information, coordinated care, and prompt follow-up.
  • Work well within a multidisciplinary team setting and interact positively with all levels of departmental and organisational staff.
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and families from diverse backgrounds.
