About the Job

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Project Engineering and Technical Specialist. As a key member of our service delivery unit, you will play a critical role in supporting our business by providing engineering and technical expertise to projects across Australia and New Zealand.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing overall project engineering and technical support on assigned projects
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise during planning, construction, refurbishment, maintenance, and commissioning activities
  • Preparing specifications for subcontracted works and ensuring compliance with customer requirements
  • Preparation of repair methodologies and quality documentation
  • Review and approval of engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
  • Overseeing on-site construction and installation activities to ensure compliance with project plans
  • Completion of condition assessments of plant and preparation of condition assessment reports
  • Preparation of technical documentation and technical reports
Key Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the HyService team and customers throughout the life cycle of assigned projects
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Providing guidance and supervision to junior engineers and technicians
  • Maintaining good working relations with customers and suppliers
  • Making logical decisions under extreme pressure to resolve customer problems
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in software and tools such as CAD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Leadership and decision-making capabilities
  • A keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail
