Linux Kernel Specialist

We seek an exceptional individual to drive the delivery of a flavour of the Ubuntu Linux kernel.

The selected candidate will be part of a globally distributed team and collaborate regularly with colleagues across different time zones.

Responsibilities will include diagnosing and resolving issues in the kernel, improving tooling and automation for delivery and test of Ubuntu Linux kernels, and working closely with external silicon, cloud, or hardware manufacturer delivery teams on bleeding-edge platforms.

This role requires a solid understanding of operating system kernel internals and concepts, preferably with Linux, as well as experience with C programming and other similar languages like Python, Golang. Git expertise is also essential, along with proficiency in Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred) and professional written and spoken English.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in C programming, with Python, Golang, or other similar languages highly regarded

  • Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
