">Job Title: Release And Environmental Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Release and Environmental Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our software releases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to our Release Managers in developing, publishing, communicating, and enforcing release management policies, processes, procedures, and standards across teams.
  • Release Coordination: Coordinate and integrate Change and Release Management for end-to-end delivery.
  • CAB Representation: Attend Change & Release working level forums and represent and facilitate Change reviews and approvals via CAB.
  • Risk Identification: Identify, analyze, and escalate risks and issues impacting team's ability to deliver releases within expected timeframes.
  • Communication: Provide release coordination and communication during and after deployment.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Effective Controls: Establish effective controls and communication protocols for managing and reporting release activities.
  • Source Code Management: Ensure code releases meet exit criteria for each environment and align with testing and inter-dependent programs.
  • Environment Provisioning: Coordinate source code migration through various environments in a standard and controlled way.
  • Configuration Management: Maintain close understanding of source code configuration management, branching, and merging aligned with testing strategy and stream test plans.
  • Deployment Controls: Establish and run code change and deployment controls adhering to Release/CAB management processes.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Keep program stakeholders informed, including forward schedules of releases/changese, participation in key meetings, reporting, and advice.
  • Release Meetings: Manage Release meetings, and communicate effectively to relevant parties ensuring the Release management process is clearly understood.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with test leads, development leads, and stream leads to ensure release management is effective and timely.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of environment management and provisioning principles, Software Development Life Cycles, including Waterfall and Agile approaches, and working knowledge of web, networks, web design principles, XML, Oracle, SQL, Microsoft products, and cloud environments.

User Liaison Skills:

User liaison skills and ability to read, document, and understand business requirements and technical specifications.

Desirable Skills:

Some experience with Windows-based systems.
