Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreperson to join our team in Victoria, BC. As an Electrical Foreperson, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring the successful completion of electrical projects, and maintaining a safe working environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrician to take on a leadership role and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct daily operations, including the completion of electrical work scopes and on-site inventory management.
• Develop and implement construction schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics, and coordinate with site coordinators or general superintendents as needed.
• Provide leadership and instruction to apprentices and journeypersons, and promote a positive, can-do attitude in the workplace.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures, and participate in safety training and initiatives.
• Install and troubleshoot electrical components in multi-family residential, commercial, and institutional structures.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and contractors, and provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements

• Red-Seal Journeyperson Electrician Certificate.
• At least 5 years of experience in electrical contracting, with a strong background in commercial and residential electrical services.
• Proven supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and experience with electrical estimating software.
• Valid Class B FSR or higher, and a valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Extensive knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and commercial/residential construction practices.
