We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Development Specialist to join our team at Ararat Rural City Council. This role will focus on delivering high-quality community engagement initiatives, specifically in the area of early childhood development.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with local families and delivering targeted initiatives to support early childhood development. This will include developing and implementing strategies to promote regular attendance at supported playgroups, as well as providing in-home support to eligible families.

Key Requirements

  • Qualifications and Experience: A minimum Diploma-level qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field; experience working with vulnerable families and children.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families and other stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Initiative: Ability to develop and implement effective problem-solving strategies, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Salary and Benefits

This full-time position comes with an attractive salary package of $70,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have access to our comprehensive benefits package, including a 9-day fortnight, flexible working options, and a health and wellbeing program.
