Compensation Specialist

Randstad, a preferred partner of a reputable State Government organisation, is currently seeking a highly skilled Compensation Specialist to join their team.
Location: Melbourne CBD + hybrid flexibility
Salary: $85,000 - $93,000 + superannuation per annum
Job Description:
- Payroll Administration: Process payroll adjustments, overpayments/underpayments, and local operations with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support Functions: Provide administrative support to the People Services Manager and the People & Culture team, including data entry across HR systems.
- System Management: Maintain records in systems such as TRIM/CM9 (records management), CHRIS21 (payroll), ePerformance (learning & performance), and Springboard (eRecruitment).
- Reporting & Payroll Auditing: Assist with payroll EOFY, audit, and compliance reporting, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to future reporting requirements.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service by responding promptly to queries and supporting managers and employees with payroll and employment conditions.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage the employee life cycle while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Experience in a Payroll / People Services environment with a strong focus on confidentiality.
- Proficiency in CHRIS21 software with the ability to interpret policies and employment legislation.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, records management systems, and HR information systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support staff and external stakeholders.
- Experience in public sector (desirable)
