About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join our team on an afternoon shift basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift truck, unloading incoming goods, checking stock and verifying deliveries before signing off.

You will also be required to unload all stock into assigned areas, load trucks with completed orders and ensure loads are checked prior to departure from the yard.

Additionally, you will be expected to participate in ongoing training and development, maintain high standards of housekeeping and adhere to all OH&S policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unload all incoming goods and check stock for accuracy
  • Verify deliveries before signing off
  • Load trucks with completed orders and ensure loads are checked prior to departure
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness
  • Participate in ongoing training and development
  • Report any incidents, near misses or damage to equipment or property immediately
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current high risk forklift licence
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Must be physically fit with the ability to undertake manual handling activities
  • Basic abilities to read and write
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to follow operating procedures and directions from supervisors and management
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours):
  • Ensure SOPs on all vehicles (pre-start checklist)
  • All incident/damage reports must be made immediately
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and directions
  • High level of physical fitness and endurance required
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
