This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team as a firefighter assistant. The role entails responding to emergencies and contributing to community safety initiatives.
As a key member of the team, you will attend emergency incidents, promote community preparedness, develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses. You will also operate specialized firefighting equipment and contribute to incident reporting and station administration.
- Attend emergency incidents in collaboration with the team.
- Promote community safety by engaging in education activities.
- Develop and maintain competencies through active participation in regular drills and training courses.
- Maintain required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
- Operate specialized firefighting equipment safely and effectively.
- Written consent from the employer to attend incidents (where applicable).
- Reside or work within a reasonable distance of the fire station.
- Australian permanent resident status.
- C Class driver's license.
- Performance-based environment: Understands how their work aligns with organizational objectives.
- Results-driven approach: Focuses on performance, manages internal and external relationships.
- Accountability: Models professional behavior, displays rigor in analysis.
