About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Bail Support Service team in Hervey Bay. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering our vision of a better world for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of high-quality program planning and delivery
  • Coach and train colleagues to enhance their skills and competency in providing child-centered case management and support services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community members, program partners, and internal teams
  • Coordinate staff caseloads, program logistics, monitoring and evaluation, risk management, and child protection
  • Maintain a caseload of clients and provide individualized support and case management
Requirements
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, coach, and develop a team
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience working with culturally diverse young people, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, young people disengaged with the school system, and young people in contact with the justice system
  • Demonstrated experience in using trauma-informed practice and building relationships with community members and stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills and experience in report writing
  • Proven ability to anticipate and resolve problems, and lead a team to achieve program goals
