Cloud Engineering Leader


This role involves leading and executing the Bank's multi-cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory obligations.

The successful candidate will have expertise in cloud and infrastructure operations, with a strong focus on Azure engineering and financial operations within cloud environments.

A proven track record of managing vendor governance, optimizing costs, and implementing FinOps best practices to drive efficiency and value is essential.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Azure, Infrastructure-as-Code, serverless architectures, cloud internetworking, LAN/WAN, virtualization technologies, and Wintel/UNIX systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, maintain, and execute the Bank's multi-cloud strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory obligations.
  • Manage the design, build, and optimization of cloud infrastructure services, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of all cloud environments, including monitoring, performance tuning, incident management, and capacity planning.
  • Implement and oversee a FinOps practice to monitor, report, and optimize cloud expenditure.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives, including rightsizing, reservation planning, and budget forecasting.
  • Provide regular insights and reporting on consumption and savings opportunities to senior stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise in cloud and infrastructure operations, with a strong focus on Azure engineering and financial operations within cloud environments.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor governance, optimize costs, and implement FinOps best practices to drive efficiency and value.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure, Infrastructure-as-Code, serverless architectures, cloud internetworking, LAN/WAN, virtualization technologies, and Wintel/UNIX systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with excellent troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
