  • Underwrite new business and renewals, managing risk and ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaborate with a team of underwriters, providing guidance and support to achieve business outcomes.
  • BUILD AND MAINTAIN STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH BROKERS AND CUSTOMERS, PROVIDING TIMELY AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICE.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Managing portfolios of new business and renewal risks, identifying and mitigating potential exposures.
  2. Providing expert advice and guidance to brokers and customers on underwriting matters.
  3. Contributing to the development and implementation of underwriting policies and procedures.
  4. Maintaining accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Participating in continuous professional development, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record in underwriting, with a strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • A high level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications in underwriting or a related field.
