Job Overview:

This role involves working closely with our engineering team to deliver products that meet client specifications and industry standards. The successful candidate will be skilled in fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of heavy transport equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and assemble structural components using steel and aluminum materials for heavy transport equipment.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to ensure accurate execution.
  • Operate various machinery including welders, cutting equipment, and grinders to produce high-quality metal components.
  • Perform welding, cutting, and finishing work on metal components to achieve the desired quality.
  • Inspect and test finished products to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to all workplace safety procedures and policies.
  • Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any fabrication issues.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Boilermaker/Fabricator preferably in the transport or heavy machinery industry.
  • Proficiency in welding (MIG) and metal fabrication techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of welding procedures and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience with fabrication tools and machinery.
  • Resourcefulness and proactivity in the workplace.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to safety.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working with heavy transport equipment.
  • Trade qualification (CIT III Boilermaker Fabrication Trade).
