About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Strategist to join our AWS Cybersecurity team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies to protect our cloud-based infrastructure and applications.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement robust security controls to prevent cyber threats and data breaches.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and implement secure architectures for cloud-based systems and applications.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to identify and mitigate security risks.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in managing security teams in large enterprises.
  • 7+ years of experience working in areas related to cybersecurity, such as SOC, auditing, security architecture, or public sector agencies involved in cybersecurity management.
  • Strong understanding of at least two of the following areas: application security, network security, platform security, cross-domain solutions, and cryptography.
  • Proficient with government security frameworks, policies, and standards (e.g., PSPF, ISM, DSPF, ASD Essential Eight).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, IT Security Management, Security Risk Management, or a related security field.
  • Ability to credibly coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in implementing and operationalizing security to meet business outcomes.
Estimated Salary

$140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
