Electrical Service Technician Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced electrical service technician to join our team in supporting customer needs for world-class miners, shuttle cars, and feeder breakers. About the Role

This role involves providing technical support and maintenance services for electrical equipment at mine sites. You will also assist in training new personnel on electrical systems and equipment, collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve field engineering problems, and maintain detailed knowledge of Australian Standards, Mines Department regulations, and Hazardous Area Standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs of electrical equipment at mine sites.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve issues with electrical systems.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior technicians in electrical systems and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repair work performed.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Electrical Trade qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in mining manufacturing and engineering or similar heavy engineering environment with emphasis on field applications.
  • Working knowledge of mining system planning and operation at a mine site.
  • Knowledge of field engineering problem identification and resolution processes.
