- Maintenance Superintendent: Responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for Supervisors, Tradespeople, and Operators. This role requires immediate response to breakdowns and urgent tasks, monitoring daily maintenance activities to prioritize effectively, and ensuring adequate staffing levels meet operational needs. Understanding the root causes of downtime and implementing corrective measures is essential.
- Maintenance Supervisor: Oversees the performance and quality of work of the maintenance crew. This position involves managing expenses and ensuring compliance with all company policies and OH&S legislation. Effective handover of tasks between shifts is crucial.
- Maintenance Trainer: This role involves building relationships with maintenance teams, coordinating training sessions, and sourcing training providers. The Trainer will monitor breakdown responses and ensure teams understand the resolution processes. A proactive approach is desired, with involvement in applicant interviews and trade shows.
- Fitters & Electricians: Responsible for maintaining a highly automated meat processing facility. The roles operate on a rotating lifestyle roster, with shifts structured to provide a balanced work-life schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure maximum equipment uptime through effective preventative maintenance and prompt breakdown response.
- Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards while complying with relevant regulations.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance and respond to breakdowns efficiently.
Essential Qualifications:
- Relevant Australian Trade Qualification.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Demonstrated ownership of responsibilities and teamwork.
- Knowledge of PLC, variable speed drives, and pneumatics.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience in FMCG environments is highly regarded.
