About Power System Engineers

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational planning and support including dispatch, outage coordination and system adequacy assessment.
  • Power system engineering, analysis and modelling including load flow and dynamics in PSS/E, PSCAD or PowerFactory.
  • Detailed understanding of power system plant including synchronous and inverter based generation, primary and secondary transmission systems including protection and control systems.
  • Understanding of data engineering concepts including centralized data management, mappings and data virtualization.
  • Data science/analytics, software design, coding and integration including Python, JavaScript, C#, C++, R, SQL and containerisation.
