Mental Health Service Support Specialist

The role of a Mental Health Service Support Specialist is to provide assistance and support for the delivery of mental health services to patients. This will involve working under the direct supervision of an experienced professional, engaging in work in a discipline-specific area or assisting in the delivery of mental health services across a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support operational functioning of ward-based service demands reporting to management, under the supervision of experienced professionals.
  • Alleviate workload pressures to give professionals more time to focus on complex tasks and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • A relevant certificate or tertiary qualification, or related work experience with a willingness to work towards certification.
  • Previous experience in working with people with a mental illness.
