Faculty Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary and experienced leader to spearhead our faculty, driving academic excellence and innovation in the fields of business, economics, and enterprise.

About the Role:

  • Spearhead the strategic direction of the faculty, aligning with our institution's vision and goals.
  • Model best practices in teaching and learning, promoting pedagogical excellence within the faculty.
  • Provide leadership in curriculum development, staff support, and administrative functions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Oversight and execution of unit plans, assessment tasks, and band plans across all year levels, ensuring alignment with national, state, and local requirements.
  • Develop and implement targeted improvement plans for the faculty, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and data analysis.
  • Craft an Annual Strategic Plan, articulating clear objectives and outcomes, and rallying faculty staff towards these goals.
  • Mentor and support staff, fostering professional growth and development within the faculty.
  • Nurture partnerships with industry leaders, universities, and external stakeholders to enrich student learning experiences and outcomes.
Your Qualifications and Experience
  • A passionate and forward-thinking leader with a strong background in teaching business, economics, and enterprise subject areas.
  • A teaching degree in a relevant discipline (Business, Economics, Enterprise, Accounting or related field).
  • Proven leadership experience within an educational institution or similar environment, with a track record of successfully leading teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire staff, students, and external partners.
  • A commitment to promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience building partnerships with industry, academia, and the wider community to enhance student learning opportunities.

The successful applicant will hold Queensland College of Teachers registration and be committed to upholding our institution's values and code of conduct.
