The Role

We are seeking a highly organised legal support professional to join our Melbourne General Insurance Team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work with a large team comprised of partners, lawyers and clerks across various matters within our firm, providing essential and timely support to our legal professionals.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with clients and staff to ensure seamless communication
  • Diary management and travel arrangements for efficient workflow
  • Coordinating medico-legal assessments and counsel briefings
  • Preparing legal documents and correspondence (emails, memos and letters)
  • Monthly billing and managing electronic documentation
  • Organising client and team events
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills across Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint, with a working knowledge of Excel
  • Experience using document management and billing/time recording systems (such as FileSite or similar)
  • The ability to manage multiple fee earners' workflows efficiently
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work independently
  • A positive attitude and team player approach, regardless of tasks assigned
  • Strong organisational and file management skills, with initiative
