Job Title: Lead Platform Engineer

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong technical background and leadership skills. As a Lead Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based data transformation platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and maintenance of our cloud-based data transformation platform
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines for ETL processes
  • Ensure the platform is compliant with MUFG Pension & Market Services security standards
  • Collaborate with developers and solution architects to improve the platform and deliver value-driven data solutions
  • Design and implement disaster recovery and high availability of the platform
  • Work with vendors to improve the overall platform efficiency
  • End-to-end responsibility of the platform from data extraction to integration
  • Upskill and mentor team members for platform management and provide training in Snowflake
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of technology industry experience with extensive experience in platform or database administration
  • 2+ years of experience in Snowflake with preferably certifications in Snowflake
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, ETL, and BI tools
  • Experience sharing data securely both internally and externally in an organization
  • Experience with Snowflake recovery methods and agile development with time travel and cloning
  • Strong technical competency working with Snowflake and Azure cloud platform services and technologies
  • Experience communicating platform issues to both technical staff and non-technical stakeholders
  • In-depth understanding of securing cloud data platforms
  • Proficiency in data warehousing and dimensional data modeling concepts
