Senior Clinician Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Clinician to join our multi-disciplinary team at Wyong Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering comprehensive psychosocial assessments, managing crises, and providing brief therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.

About the Role

Located at Wyong Hospital, you will work closely with clinical teams, senior leaders, and fellow clinicians to deliver proactive and impactful psychosocial care.

This role involves working with patients of all ages recovering from neurological events, providing guidance and advocacy for patients, families, and carers.

You will offer tailored support through assessment, counseling, crisis response, and discharge planning, ensuring smooth care transitions and strong links to community services.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

  • Proven experience delivering psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and brief therapeutic support within a person-centered and trauma-informed framework.

  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team and skills to support clinical leadership within a team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
