Our Operations APAC West sector specializes in brownfields and maintenance engineering, procurement, construction, optimization, and technical services tailored for the Oil & Gas industry. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Commercial Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee daily commercial administration and management, encompassing the entire contract lifecycle from pre-award to post-award phases for a key client engaged in a brownfields engineering contract. This dynamic position requires collaboration with a diverse array of internal stakeholders, including operational and functional teams, to facilitate commercial risk management and optimize value creation for Wood.

To be eligible for this position, you must be an Australian citizen or possess Permanent Residency (PR) status to work legally in Australia. Candidates with ongoing visa applications are also encouraged to consider this opportunity.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter, fully integrating into the contract team. You should possess over 5 years of experience in a commercial capacity, particularly on the contractor side within the Oil & Gas, Mining, or Infrastructure sectors. A degree in business administration, commerce, quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field will be advantageous.
Furthermore, you will have:
- A solid understanding of key contracting concepts, principles, and commercial risk management.
- Experience with commercial administration processes and procedures.
- Proven expertise in drafting and interpreting contractual documentation.
Your meticulous approach to work, balancing precision and responsiveness, along with a genuine enjoyment of presenting to senior stakeholders, will set you apart.
