About the Role

We are seeking a Product Owner to join our Business Solutions team. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for driving the product roadmap and delivering high-quality outcomes for our customers.

You will work closely with our cross-functional team to prioritize effectively and deliver on business objectives. Your domain expertise will be essential in guiding product development and ensuring that our solutions meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive squad performance and OKR tracking
  • Be the voice of the customer, ensuring their needs shape the product
  • Use design thinking and analytics to guide product development
  • Maintain a prioritised backlog aligned with business and customer outcomes
  • Lead product roadmap discussions with senior stakeholders
  • Manage supplier and partner relationships
  • Ensure stakeholders are aligned on prioritisation
  • Identify and mitigate risks across workstreams
  • Lead daily squad activities to deliver impactful changes
  • Validate customer problems and set clear learning objectives to inform decisions
  • Resolve escalations and drive timely decisions
  • Ensure smooth handover of new developments to operational teams

Requirements:

  • Proven Product Owner, Product Management or Strategy experience, ideally within Acquiring, Issuing, Payments or eCommerce segments
  • Risk mindset – all CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship-building skills
  • A real passion for customer centric design thinking and ways of identifying opportunities for driving experience and growth
  • Curiosity and humility for continuous learning and growth mindset
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to translate technology solutions into customer benefits
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Ability to deliver written and verbal updates to senior executive level
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and strategically problem solve
  • Strong collaboration with teams on work streams/ project activities end-to-end and independently manage deliverables
  • Experience working in an agile environment advantageous
