About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Maintenance Engineer to join our team at AWS. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical infrastructure of our data centers, ensuring the highest standards for safety, security, availability, productivity, capacity, efficiency, and cost.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering, with experience in critical facilities management. They should also be able to work effectively in a team environment, possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This role requires a high degree of technical knowledge, including electrical and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to work in a 24/7 rotating shift pattern. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing routine maintenance and emergency service of critical systems, installing new rack capacity, and provisioning power and cooling.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage routine maintenance and emergency service of critical systems
  2. Install new rack capacity and provision power and cooling
  3. Work with contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with established practices and procedures
