Role Overview:

Gold Fields Australia is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance professional to join their Engineering Maintenance department at St Ives Gold Mine.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of the maintenance team, ensuring effective execution and supervision of mechanical maintenance-related issues on site.

This role involves working closely with the Coordinator: Mechanical (Fixed) to achieve budgeted production targets, meeting all quality standards including cost, safety and environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise maintenance team activities, ensuring awareness of performance targets and adherence to established standards and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and production standards.
  • Develop and implement new maintenance procedures, processes and technology to ensure safe and efficient operation of assets.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to production by maintaining good working relationships with external companies and having contingency plans in place.
  • Reinforce Vital Behaviours by promoting a culture of injury and incident prevention through involvement and implementation of initiatives.

About You:

  • Recognised Trade qualification and/or Supervisory qualification.
  • Proven experience in mineral processing environment.
  • 5 years minimum post-trade experience.
  • Knowledge and application of relevant statutory obligations.
  • Supervisory/Management training is desirable.
  • Sound understanding of Fixed Plant Equipment of Mills, conveyors and mill pumps.
  • SAP and AMT experience is desirable.
