Support Worker Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Worker.

  • This role involves delivering personalized care and support to clients with disabilities, ensuring their unique needs and aspirations are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans.
  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
  • Offering transportation assistance to clients.
  • Maintaining accurate records of clients' care plans and progress.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
  • FOLLOWING HEALTH AND SAFETY REGULATIONS TO ENSURE THE SAFETY AND WELL-BEING OF CLIENTS.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of high school or equivalent.
  • Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded).
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.
  • A strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
  • An understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • The ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding different support needs based on abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
  • Basic care and first aid skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
