Job Overview:

The HOVER SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITY is seeking a dedicated Senior Test Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and services, contributing to the well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical assistance to engineers and scientists on intricate components, devices, materials, products, processes, and equipment.
  • Work from complex schematics, assembly drawings, operational sheets, and engineering specifications.
  • Interpret and adhere to written protocols, including standard operating procedures and safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards applicable to the organization.
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Collaborate with various departments to facilitate efficient communication and material flow.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including product quality and compliance outcomes.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, optical, or mechanical failures in operational equipment, performing both preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Modify complex electrical prototypes to rectify functional discrepancies.
  • Support and uphold the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
  • Conduct standard testing procedures on a range of equipment and document results.
  • Possess knowledge of industry-specific testing methods and equipment, including alignment and troubleshooting of test failures.

Qualifications:

  • An associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with testing equipment and processes.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong decision-making and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience handling delicate components with ESD practices.
  • Soldering and wire bonding skills are advantageous.
  • Proficient in the safe handling of chemicals.
  • Familiarity with various software applications, including Access, Excel, and Labview.
  • Experience with MRP systems is a plus.
  • Good mechanical aptitude is essential.
