Job Opportunity in Clinical Exercise Physiology

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Lecturer in Clinical Exercise Physiology.

The successful applicant will contribute to the development and delivery of postgraduate courses in clinical exercise physiology, embracing new teaching pedagogies and participating in administrative activities to enhance the quality of graduate profiles.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, the lecturer will be expected to develop an independent research program, attracting undergraduate and higher degree students to the discipline, as well as securing industry-based research support and competitive external grant funding to the University.

To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a doctoral qualification in Clinical Exercise Physiology or a related field, with experience in exercise rehabilitation for musculoskeletal pathologies. Accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sport Science Australia is also required, along with a demonstrated record of publication in high-quality outlets and international/national research collaborations.

The School of Biomedical Sciences and Pharmacy is a research flagship within the University, addressing global health challenges through multiple research themes. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the growth of the Discipline of Exercise and Sport Science, which operates a student-led exercise physiology clinic and an athlete testing centre.

This is an exciting time for the Discipline of Exercise and Sport Science, as it transitions to a new location at the main campus of the university. The relocation will expand the sports ecosystem at Callaghan and establish new, fully equipped exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor skills, and performance data analysis laboratories.
