Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics, Software and Network Data Engineer to join our team at PowerData Group Consulting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance and certification of our avionics systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conformance to instructions described in AASB DOE and AASB CAM-SP.
  • Technical Information (TI) handling; registration, review of applicability, Safety Alert Information (SAI) and actions.
  • DASR Classification of Design.
  • Develop and review Certification Program Plan (21.A.17 and local Design Manual procedures) including:
    • Establish Certification Basis (21.A.101).
    • Develop Specification (under local Design Manual procedures).
    • Develop Design Plans.
  • Develop Avionics technical content.
  • Peer Review Avionics technical content.
  • DASR CVE Review (21.A.239(b)).
  • DASR Declaration of Compliance/Approval (21.A.263(c) for minor & 21.A.97 for major).
  • Recommendations for Incorporation Approval and Service Release (FG AASB(ENG) 12-0-094).
  • System Safety Analysis.
  • Modification development and review.
  • Deviation development and review.
  • Development of Functional and Physical Configuration Audits.
  • Development of Acceptance Test and Evaluation Plans.
  • Draft and/or technically approve Publication Changes.
  • New Drawing Requests and Drawing Change Notices.
  • System tests, investigations and reports.
  • Technical support for tests and evaluations.
  • Development, review and approval of support Logistics Processes (LPs).

Requirements:

  • Appropriate Engineering qualification.
  • Experience levels for the discipline/qualification.
  • Software and Network integration and troubleshooting.
  • Compliance Verification Engineer qualification.
  • Aircraft Systems Knowledge.
  • DASR Part M, Part 21J and Military Type Certificate Holder Obligations courses.
  • NV1 Security Clearance.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience with Aircraft Health and Usage Monitoring Systems.
  • Experience with Aircraft Mission Planning Software.
  • Experience with CH-47F Chinook aircraft.
  • Experience with Software acceptance and certification.
  • Experience with AASB Engineering Management System (EMS).
  • Experience with Defence Aviation Safety Regulation (DASR).
  • Experience with Development of procedures documenting Engineering functions.
  • Experience with Project Task Management.
  • Experience with Acceptance test planning and conduct.
  • Experience with Adhoc system diagnostics / investigation.
  • Experience with Army Aviation System Branch (AASB) Standard Operating Procedures/Functional Guidance.
  • Experience with Emerald2 exposure and experience.
