Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, identifying, and assessing cyber security issues, threats, and vulnerabilities across the organisation.

About the Role:

  • Monitor and detect cyber security incidents and threats in real-time, using advanced tools and technologies
  • Analyse and assess cyber threats to determine attribution, motivation, and capability
  • Develop and lead projects to improve the organisation's cyber security posture and reduce risk
  • Mentor and guide staff in the timely delivery of actionable intelligence and reporting on emerging cyber threats
  • Identify stakeholder requirements and prioritise workload to meet agreed outcomes and timeframes
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and issues in IT and cyber security risks and solutions

About the Team:

  • Create a whole-of-organisation approach to managing cyber risk and responding to cyber security threats
  • Increase cyber skills and awareness across the organisation
  • Understand and mitigate the risks from cyber threats to digital information and systems

About You (Essential Requirements):

  • Be reliable, flexible, and hardworking with excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Proactively manage own workload and tasks, with the ability to work in a small team and collaborate across multi-disciplinary technical teams
  • High level of proficiency in Office 365, Atlassian (Jira), and other common project management software
  • Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline National Security Clearance
