About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pizza Chef to join our team at The Feathers Hotel & Pavilion Cafe in Burnside. As a Pizza Chef, you will be responsible for managing the pizza section and ensuring the food offered on-site is delivered to an exceptional standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the pizza section with a positive and team-orientated attitude
  • Prepare and bake pizza dough to a high standard
  • Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment and brick or stone ovens
  • Understand and implement food hygiene practices
  • Good time-management skills to meet deadlines
  • Deliver a premium experience to our clients
  • Maintain an overall knowledge and passion for food
  • Implement allergy awareness controls and adhere to health and safety standards
  • Ability to manage, coordinate, and lead the kitchen through service periods and functions
  • Monitor costs and maintain stock control
About You

We are looking for a 'can-do' person who thrives on new challenges, likes working in a team, and consistently delivers to the highest quality.   • Trade qualified (highly preferred)
  • Previous experience as a Pizza Chef (minimum two years)
  • Team player, able to work autonomously, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner
  • Prior experience in a high-paced & high-quality kitchen
  • Modern, contemporary, and innovative culinary skills
  • Strong knowledge of performance management principles and techniques
