As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, including opening and closing the café, managing inventory, ordering supplies, and running shifts with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Day Management - Oversee daily café operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and efficient use of resources.
  2. Barista responsibilities, including expert preparation and presentation of beverages, food items, and provision of exceptional customer service.
  3. Maintain strict quality control standards for all drinks and coffee bean preparation at our venues.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative menu offerings that meet customer preferences and trends.
  5. Perform regular maintenance tasks and troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure uninterrupted service.
  6. Provide expert advice and guidance on coffee selection, brewing techniques, and complementary food pairings.
  7. Conduct comprehensive training sessions for team members, fostering continuous skill development and a culture of excellence.
  8. Engage with customers through friendly conversation, determining their preferences and needs to offer personalized recommendations.
  9. Share knowledge about different coffee beans, origins, and roasts with the team and customers.
  10. Effectively promote and sell coffees and brewing equipment by communicating the unique attributes and benefits of each product.
  11. Stay informed about industry trends, attend events, and share knowledge with the team to continually enhance our offerings.
  12. Ensure a clean and hygienic work environment that meets organization standards and sanitation regulations.

About You: Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a skilled Barista.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a Head/Lead barista or Barista Trainer role.
  • Strong understanding of coffee beans, origins, and brewing techniques.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • A solid grasp of Food Health & Safety principles.

Nice to Have

  • Certification in Hospitality or related field.
  • Organic handling experience.
  • Experience in Cafe or Restaurant Management.
  • Food handling/Cookery skills.
