About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to join our team at Commonwealth Bank. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our digital platform and driving innovation in the banking and finance industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement complex technical solutions in a SaaS and cloud-based environment
  • Lead a team of engineers in implementing DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, logging and monitoring tools
  • Provide expert consultancy across the enterprise, with a particular focus on DevOps and CI/CD tooling
  • Drive continuous improvement and technical uplift initiatives for the team
  • Proactively collaborate with others to share knowledge and resolve issues
  • Encourage risk-taking and constructively challenge the status quo while influencing stakeholders and building diverse and inclusive teams
Requirements
  • End-to-end development background with experience in 3-tier architecture
  • Cloud experience with AWS
  • Data integration patterns with Kafka
  • API experience with Java and.NET/C#
