Electrical Engineering Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior or Lead level Control Systems Engineer to join our design team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing and coordinating design on a range of mineral processing related Electrical Projects, and Studies.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading organization in the Electrical Engineering space, delivering high-quality design and project delivery services to various sectors. Our team has extensive capabilities in Australia and around the world.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant engineering degree and experience working in a specialized electrical/control systems team on front-end greenfield and brownfield development projects with complex controls and automation scope. They should also have control systems design experience, ideally with exposure to Rockwell, Emmerson (GE) and Schneider.

The role involves designing, executing and commissioning new control systems and software, as well as providing operations support to our mining and energy clients. This position is based in Brisbane, but may involve occasional input on studies and reports from other offices.

  • Relevant engineering degree
  • Experience working in a specialized electrical/control systems team
  • Control systems design experience

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the project development process for juniors/mid-tier miners and the ability to contribute to meetings, exercises good judgment on how to contribute, collaborative and able to execute on technical reports and projects.

About the Role

This is a Senior/Lead level position that requires strong technical skills and leadership abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers and technicians, as well as developing and implementing new technologies and solutions.

Key Requirements
  • Distributed control system (DCS) experience; ideally Yokogawa
  • Programmable Logic Control (PLC) experience, ideally Rockwell and Siemens
  • SCADA system experience SciTech, CITECT, Simplicity
