Youth Residential Care Worker Job

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Residential Care Worker to join our team in Shepparton. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality therapeutic care to children and young people aged 10-17 who have experienced trauma, neglect, and abuse.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a dedicated team to deliver high-quality therapeutic care. This will involve implementing current best practice therapeutic interventions and program guidelines to ensure the highest standard of care and child safety.

  • Serve as a positive role model, supporting young people in their educational, social, and recreational pursuits while fostering independence.
  • Create a safe and nurturing home environment, including managing household duties and providing nutritious meals.

  • Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills, active listening, and a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries.

  • A driver's license (minimum green P's) is essential for transporting young people.
  • A minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent qualification is required.
