Contract Management Expert

This role is accountable for overseeing the planning, execution and driving overall performance on complex single and multi-disciplinary contracts whilst providing expert advice within a contract management framework.

You will cultivate strategic relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, manage intricate negotiations and ensure compliance with safety, environmental and governance standards.

  • Ensure all contracts are managed in line with a robust contract management framework inclusive of procurement policies and contract management standards.
  • Sound knowledge of the external design market and capability.
  • Strong working knowledge of and the ability to interpret legislation with regards to contract law.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders, ensuring efficient contract delivery within schedule and budgetary requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership to the contracts team and project engineers.
  • Ability to influence demonstrated through complex negotiation.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Business, Law or Commerce.
  • Broad and extensive knowledge and expertise and proven understanding of contract management.
  • At least 10 + years significant contract management experience including high value / highly complex contracts.
  • Have strong working knowledge of and the ability to interpret legislation with regards to contract law.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, complimented by influencing/negotiation skills.
  • Strong experience in negotiation, conflict resolution and managing public and stakeholder relations.
