Job Title: Principal Engineer - Primary Design

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer - Primary Design to join our team at Consolidated Power Projects Australia (CPP). As a leader in utility and renewable high-voltage power solutions, CPP is an industry leader in delivering end-to-end services on projects from design to construction.

The successful candidate will hold both technical and supervisory responsibilities, overseeing the development of high-quality designs for primary high-voltage (HV) systems. With a strong background in electrical engineering and power systems, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and designers to deliver high-voltage infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of primary high-voltage designs for utility and renewable energy projects
  • Oversee the work of a team of engineers and designers to ensure high-quality designs are delivered
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet client requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in high-voltage systems and design

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 10+ years experience at a senior level with substation design and/or utility grid connections
  • Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor others
  • Strong knowledge of Australian industry standards
  • High-level communication and stakeholder management skills
