We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Climate Adaptation to develop and advise on complex policy issues in the area of climate science, climate risk, and adaptation. The successful candidate will lead, manage, and coordinate advice to Government on climate resilience and implementation of the Western Australian Climate Adaptation Strategy.

Main Responsibilities

Develop and advise on complex policy issues related to climate science, climate risk, and adaptation;

Lead, manage, and coordinate advice to Government on climate resilience and implementation of the Western Australian Climate Adaptation Strategy;

Manage and direct the work of the Climate Adaptation Branch while developing and strengthening external stakeholder relationships to support the delivery of policy and programs to enhance climate resilience;

Provide leadership to consultation processes and stakeholder engagement processes undertaken by the Climate Directorate, including providing coordination and leadership of high-level external advisory groups.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A proven track record in developing and advising on complex policy issues related to climate science, climate risk, and adaptation;
