Job Title: Team Lead

At Woolworths Group, we're seeking a skilled Team Lead to join our Proactive Services team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for leading a group of Team Members to deliver exceptional services to our stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 10-40 Team Members to collect trolleys and complete daily tasks associated with store cleaning and waste services.
  • Develop leadership skills by delivering people-related activities and partnering with stakeholders to achieve exceptional services.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to Team Members, developing their skills across trolley collection, cleaning, and waste support.
  • Set team rosters to ensure coverage of daily tasks and operations.
  • Interact with customers, providing excellent service and support.
  • Liaise with Support Office, Store Leadership Teams, Team Members, and customers, requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding role, with exposure to various elements (shop floor, fridges, freezers, carparks, etc.).
  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience is ideal, but we encourage aspiring Team Leaders to apply.
  • Direct support from the Facilities Manager to develop leadership skills.
  • A good eye for cleanliness and attention to detail.
  • Confidence to engage with Department Managers and Store Leadership Teams to plan and coordinate routines and timeframes.
  • Organisational skills to ensure the team has the necessary equipment and consumables to work safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including early starts, late starts, and weekend shifts.
  • Comfortable working within a regulated framework (Food Safety, industrial regulations, code of conduct, etc.).
  • A valid full Australian driver's license, as some stores may conduct vehicle street runs.
