**Clinical Admixture Technician Role:**

Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to prepare medication orders by compounding or admixing medications under physician supervision.

The ideal candidate will have up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy procedures and industry standards, possessing strong technical skills, including calculation of correct dosage volumes, conversion between metric and apothecary equivalents, and accurate record keeping.

In this role, you will work closely with registered nurses and pharmacists to ensure timely and accurate preparation of medications, assisting with inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper documentation of medications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing medication orders by compounding or admixing medications under physician supervision.
  • Verifying patient information and proper physician authorization.
  • Calculating correct dosage volumes and converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of medications.
  • Assisting with inventory control, ordering supplies, and cleaning hoods.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certified pharmacy technician certificate or state pharmacy board requirement recommended.
  • Minimum three years experience in a pharmacy with IV skills preferred.
  • IV certification and completion of an ASHP accredited program or community college-based program recommended.

Physical Demands:

  • Full range of body motion, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination required.
  • Sitting/standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting items weighing up to 40 lbs.
