Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

Randstad is currently recruiting for a permanent Mechanical Fitter with previous experience. Our clients are reputable, fully established elevator companies that are well-respected across Australia.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter with experience in servicing, installing, and maintaining lift systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, a passion for precision, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation: Expertly install new lift systems, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Servicing: Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of lift systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Repairs: Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations and updates on service progress.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including service reports and maintenance logs.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Travel: Travel to surrounding regions as required to perform service, maintenance, and installation tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, preferably in the lift industry.
  • Strong understanding of lift systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work on-call and outside regular hours if required.
