Carpentry Specialist

Job2Go Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join their team in Epping, Victoria.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and secure materials to create frames or supports using hand tools, wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or adhesives.
• Construct or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden structures in buildings with woodworking machinery, carpentry hand tools, and power tools.
• Adhere to established safety protocols to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
• Examine ceilings, floor tiles, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged components.
• Install structures and fixtures, including windows, frames, flooring, and trim hardware, using carpentry hand tools and power tools.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials with a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
• Remove damaged sections and either repair or replace defective parts of structures using hand tools.
• Review blueprints, sketches, or building plans to understand project layouts, dimensions, and required materials.

Requirements:

• Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in Carpentry.
• Diploma of Building and Construction would also be highly regarded.
• At least two years of relevant experience as a Carpenter.
• Valid Victorian driver's license.
