Senior Project Coordinator for Renewable Energy Projects

DRD Group, a specialist recruitment provider in the energy and resources sector, is seeking a skilled Senior Project Coordinator to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in SMP Field Engineering, with a strong background in managing specialized packages for multi-discipline green field projects. They will be responsible for coordinating delivery of SMP Works, ensuring contractors' schedules and budget constraints are met while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

This role requires a blend of construction and technical expertise, project management skills, and effective communication to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders. The Senior Project Coordinator will proactively manage interfaces and mitigate issues, ensuring seamless scope integration into the overall project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Field Engineering Lead and Construction Manager in managing contractors from contract award through mobilization, execution to scope completion.
  • Ensure the work undertaken by construction contractors meets project expectations, relevant Standards, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Contracts and Procurement team to process contractor change orders and variations.
  • Implement the change management process as required.
  • Achieve and maintain effective communication with the project team and other internal and external stakeholders at all times.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design changes, field reports, and correspondence.
  • Assess and respond to Technical Queries as they arise.
  • Provide project engineering support and resolve any engineering-related issues for the construction teams to facilitate the construction process.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Driving License.
  • White Card.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SMP Field Engineering.
  • Experience in SMP engineering for major capital projects in the renewables, oil & gas, and mining sectors preferred.
  • Proficient skills in project management software.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve effectively.
  • Strong analytical, literacy, and numerical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of MS Office software.
  • Understanding of planning, scheduling, and project controls.
  • Strong understanding of project reporting regimes and inputs to weekly and monthly reports.
  • Right to work in Australia.

Estimated annual salary: $120,000 - $150,000 AUD based on location and industry standards. DRD Group embraces a diverse workforce culture and encourages applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
