Electrical Engineer Career Opportunity

As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of energy infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. You will work alongside senior engineers on site visits, inspections, and client meetings, contributing to bids, tenders, and technical deliverables that drive project success.

This 2-year Graduate program offers a unique blend of technical expertise and professional development, enabling you to transition seamlessly into a professional-level role upon completion. Participate in industry events hosted by our Connect Committee to expand your network and knowledge.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A final year student or recent graduate degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A strong interest in power systems - whether Primary or Secondary.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • A willingness to learn industry tools and apply Australian Standards in real-world projects.

You will support the design and analysis of substation primary systems, earthing, cable rating, lightning protection, and insulation coordination studies. Prepare drawings, calculations, reports, and technical documentation using industry-standard software (e.g., CDEG S, CYMCAP, PSCAD, relay configuration tools etc.).
