Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and flexible Casual Screen Surface Technician to join our Mackay Service Team. The successful candidate will work on client sites within the Mackay region, performing tasks such as changing-out screen panels, inspecting equipment, testing and analysing vibrating equipment.

About the Role
  • The role is a casual position with a minimum of 40 hours per week available.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated commitment to safety and customer service orientation, good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team. A current driver's license and willingness to travel at short notice are also essential.

Responsibilities
  • Change-out screen panels on OEM vibrating equipment during planned shut-down days.
  • Inspect equipment, test and analyse the proficiency of the vibrating equipment.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation.
  • Assist the mechanical service team on larger shut-down days if required.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated 'can-do' attitude.
  • Experience within a mechanical workshop, mining/quarry/construction or heavy industry field would be desirable.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and customer service orientation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Ability and willingness to travel (and stay overnight) at short notice.
  • Demonstrated CHPP shut-down experience and QLD mine generic inductions would be highly desirable.
  • Exposure to all FLSmidth products well regarded.
