Key Responsibilities:

  • Grid Connection Management: Develop and implement strategies for securing grid connections for renewable energy projects, in collaboration with industry leaders and stakeholders.\
  • Negotiation and Communication: Negotiate agreements with NSPs, contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure successful project execution.\
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of commercial strategies for renewable energy project development, taking into account market trends and regulatory requirements.\
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including technical, operations, and sales, to ensure effective project delivery.\
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.\
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on commercial and grid connection management.\
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.\
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular progress reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key achievements and challenges.

Requirements

\

To be successful in this role, you will need:

\
  • \
  • 5+ years of experience in grid connection of large utility-scale projects in the NEM.\
  • Negotiation skills and commercial expertise in securing grid connections and negotiating agreements with industry leaders.\
  • Technical knowledge of power systems and electrical engineering concepts, including grid connection studies and power system models.\
  • Regulatory knowledge of NEM operations and regulatory requirements for transmission and distribution network connections.\
  • Multitasking ability to prioritize multiple project workstreams in a fast-paced environment.\
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build strong relationships with industry leaders and stakeholders.\
  • Ability to travel as required for project site visits and meetings.
