Overview

The successful candidate will be based in our Melbourne or Sydney office and will lead regional automation support, working within a nationwide team and leveraging the support of a global business.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement SCADA and automation solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Provide expert engineering services for SCADA integration, RTU configuration, and automation system deployment.
  • Offer support to customers with their engineering and application needs.
  • Deliver product updates, training, and workshops for customers.
  • Prepare technical guides and documentation.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to SCADA and automation.

This role offers opportunities for professional growth and development through local and international training, including programs led by the Siemens Power Academy.

Your Requirements
  • You should have relevant qualifications or experience in electrical, electronics, automation, or software engineering or demonstrated experience in SCADA and automation systems within the power or industrial sectors.
  • Ideal expertise in one or more of the following areas: Siemens SICAM automation platform, ToolBox II or Device Manager software, A8000 hardware platform, or equivalent SCADA and Automation platforms.
  • Strong understanding of communication systems and protocols, including Ethernet, SDH, IEC 61850 station and process bus, DNP 3, Modbus, and IEC 60870.
  • Experience in networking topologies and integration of automation solutions.
