About the Role

Aegis Aged Care is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Central Office Care and Lifestyle Team as an Occupational Therapy Consultant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert therapy and lifestyle services to our facilities across the metro area.
  • Support onsite staff with complex clinical presentations and provide guidance on Aged Care processes.
  • Collaborate with People and Culture to recruit and onboard Allied Health professionals.
  • Assist with Reaccreditation audits and assessment contact visits.
  • Recommend equipment for pressure care and seating.
  • Audit and review resident documentation systems.
  • Provide education and training to staff on therapy and lifestyle best practices.
  • Relieve OTs at facilities as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience as an Occupational Therapist within Aged Care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in resident documentation systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm for training and education.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Mentoring and consultative approach.
  • Knowledge of Aged Care legislation and Accreditation Standards.
